Just a suggestion, but if you have a PC try installing Hard Disk Sentinel Pro (Trial version) and checking SMART status of the PS4 drive by plugging that into a SATA port on your PC's motherboard. If the health is below 90% you will most likely experience HDD issue's (e.g. bad sectors which have been re-located etc) and consider replacing before it completely fails.

Had the same issue. You saved me from returning a goodworking psone. I did not change any of my caps, i just tried and used a ps2 slim power supply, and it worked. My old power supply outputs 7.7V. But not enough to power the whole psone. Now, can you maybe try to fix your OG power supply? I cant find any post about fixing a psone psu. Maybe it also need to be recaped.

Opening up an electrolytic capacitor will not explode when not connected to power. You might get some yuckie stuff on your fingers, but no explosions.

Hey steve you can easily open hyperx cloud buds by put puting your hot iron on 100°C and around the speaker their is a small circular line around the speaker area use a surgical blade after heating them for around 2 to 3 min to create a opening then use your opener tool to open it usually it is a speaker problem if you need any further assistance hit me up

I don't think this thing is supposed to spin so fast? I just opened up my wife's thingy which is pretty much identical in order to realign the buttons(she dropped it), and it does the same job but is A LOT slower. I don't think she'd stick her hair in to something this fast. I know I wouldn't.

I love the cod3r he's the reason we know what most of the error codes mean. The fact he works out of his shead is amazing. He's a self taught legend. He's inspired me to learn. I have always had a nack for fixing things. I could strip and rebuild a Jag V12 engine at 12 years old as I grew up with 4 generations of mechanics. My grandad was an RAF mechanic in WW2 my dad was a mechanic for Jaguar my older brother is a mechanic for BMW and I grew up to work for purgeot. Now I had to give up work due to MS my body is failing me but my mind is still working at 1000% I was diagnosed with autism so i always have to be doing something or I drive my wife crazy taking the microwave apart or something 😂. I just got into fixing electronics I started by repairing my brother's OG Xbox replacing all the caps and modding the fan with a led fan and led ports at the front. I'm starting with older stuff that's easier before going to modern tech. I hate seeing things thrown away so I fix anything from furniture to hoovers, TVs, pc, laptop etc. I have a a garage full of tech that I keep incase I need parts or wires and it has come in handy a few times especially with Dyson hoovers. People will throw them away when they just need a clean or a new tube or seal.

Those two 512 (5.1k ohm) resistors @4:48 are on CC1 and CC2 pins on the USB Type-C connection, a quick and dirty way to pull 5V at up to 3A from a charger.
